”Frago’s history started with the founder’s dream, dream to create an affordable, electric vehicle kit for the Ford Ranger that was bolt in. A mechanical engineer, Staring in 2009, with lead batteries, a golf cart controller, 9” DC forklift motor, the founder designed a 24KWHR truck conversion that was bolt in. While his systems were always reliable with thousands of miles on them, he would continue to pivot and design a performance system that included an open controller and battery management system to test as a pilot in the market. On a modest budget, the electric vehicle still performs today, is a excellent training tool and impresses as what is capable in engineering and design. Safe and long-lasting batteries
Our product was based on the tested release of our 24.3 KWHR Ford Ranger and maintained its batteries with a BMS, battery management system, to ensure safety and battery longevity.
The Ford Ranger is the ideal vehicle for an EV conversion since its chassis can support the additional battery weight. The batteries are completely separated from the passenger compartment, and our system provides easy access to the batteries.
With this system and recommended controller, converted vehicle will be close to stock weight, estimated 17 sec ¼ mile and 75 miles range.
